  • Tigers stop Wolverines

    -deg|Sep 20, 2023

Despite giving up a harmless last minute touchdown, the Ipswich Tiger football team came away with an impressive 44-20 road win vs. Herreid/Selby Area and were still able to line up in their victory formation last Friday. One reason had to be Trevor Heinz setting a school reception record of 15 catches. They totaled 168 yards which was second best all time. (#2 behind Todd Miller’s 210 yards.) Of course that meant that quarterback Max Kulesa wouldn't have too bad of an evening himself finishing with 19 completions in 30 tries for 290 yards. C...

Things are already happening fast regarding the September activity events. There was one thing though that you may have missed and that was Patriot Day on 9-11. But we hope that you did remember the reason for that day and at least were able to fly your flags. But there was one September event that we have really enjoyed, which apparently won't happen this year and that would have been the Northeast South Dakota Celtic Faire at Richmond Lake. Maybe the fish will still be biting there though. I won the grandest door prize they had at last...

  • Fiddlin' Around

    -deg|Aug 23, 2023

Believe it not, we got a taker last Wednesday morning for the Wedding RSVP card we got in the office. Abigail and Mathieu were family of a local person who read “Fiddlin’ Around”. Glad we could help. We have talked about how you can see which food lines are the busiest at a fair and the reasons why. We have thought that there is indeed a reason for which lines are the longest and that would most likely be the ones with the best food. We were going to check out the Brown County Fair on Sunday the last day of the fair. It turned out to be a beaut...
