  • Puzzling teams

    The Roscoe American Legion hosted a Puzzle Contest on Saturday, Dec. 30. The evening started with a soup supper. The teams had an hour to finish the 500-piece puzzle. Each team had the same puzzle, donated by Dawn Malsam of Marin Biel Insurance. First place went to Gettin' Jiggy With It - finished at 39 minutes and 48 seconds.   • Jail election to be March 12

    The Edmunds County Commission approved a resolution to have a special election for issuing general obligation bonds for building a law enforcement center. The resolution states a new jail, dispatch center and sheriff’s office is vital to the safety and welfare of Edmunds County residents. A special election will be held on March 12, 2024 for the purpose of issuing general obligation bonds in the amount to not exceed $7,400,000.00 for the construction of the new jail, dispatch center and sheriff’s office....

Representatives from local communities will be featured at the Junior Snow Queen Coronation held the evening of January 6, 2024 at the Aberdeen Civic Theatre.     The North Central Thunder basketball teams traveled to Timber Lake for a doubleheader on Dec. 28. The girls got a close 39-37 victory. The Panther boys stopped the Thunder boys 69-26.
