  • Fiddlin' Around

    -deg|Jan 4, 2023

Can you believe it the holiday season is done and we are actually in a new year, so happy new year. I once had a landlady that would always say "I would like to be the first person to wish you a Happy New Year." The only problem with that was that she was still saying that well into the spring. And speaking of spring every day is one day closer to spring. And we still need to get rid of more of that snow and ice before the next major winter storm if and when that would arrive. It is always difficult to remember to write 2023 on your paper work...

Neighboring towns are putting on these special days once a month, telling their customers of the advantages of trading at home. Special inducements are being offered by all the business men. Just this week we noticed in the Selby paper where the Selby Commercial Club is sponsoring a Bargain Day feature. All Selby business men are uniting to make this a red letter day for Selby. Ipswich should enter into such a...

  • IHS boys play at Sacred Hoops Classic

    -deg|Jan 4, 2023

Ipswich raced out to a 67-20 boys' varsity win over McIntosh in a battle of the Tigers last Friday during the Sacred Hoops contest at the Srode Center in Aberdeen. It was a huge win for new head coach Stewart Bohle because it was his 200th career win as a coach (all in girls' basketball) including a pair of state titles. McIntosh would come up way short in this battle of the Tigers. That's because Ipswich would grab an early 20-8 first-quarter lead and it was all downhill after that. Ipswich would lead 39-10 at intermission and then go ahead...

(Gohl included a trey.) Brianna Geditz included a trey in her four points. Anna Nierman and Rylee Kleffman each had a trey for their t...
