    The Ipswich community hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on January 20 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church which helped collect a total of 29 units of blood products for patients in need. A total of 31 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 25 individuals were able to successfully donate at the Vitalant blood drive on January 20. A total of four donors also came forward to donate Power Red Cells (2RBC) which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution back to the donor.     The Holy Cross Knights of Columbus had a successful free throw competition contest on Sunday Jan. 23, 2022. There were 21 participants that made for an exciting contest. Eight winners in the divisions have a chance to advance to the regional competition in Aberdeen on February 6, 2022. She was a registered dietician and taught at Miami University of Ohio, then at University of Washington, finally at Shoreline Community College.     The Vikings from James Valley Christian invaded the Tiger Den last Saturday, Jan. 22 and escaped with twin wins over the IHS boys and girls.     The Ipswich/Bowdle wrestlers competed on Tuesday, January 18 in Mobridge at the Mobridge/Pollock Invitational. Ipswich/Bowdle was fourth with 28 points.     Ipswich obtained a 68-33 boys' high school basketball win over North Central on January 18 in Roscoe. The Tigers gradually expanded their first-quarter 17-12 lead into a more comfortable 34-21 halftime edge and were even further ahead 58-30 with a quarter to play. They coasted down the stretch.
