Brandon Valley high school played host to the 2024 state one-act play festival this past week as fans were treated to incredible performances on the stage. Each year, judges give out superior ratings to the top individuals, ensembles and overall plays. Schools are not competing against each other at this event, they perform with hopes of scoring a suporior rating. The Feeding South Dakota Mobile Food Pantry will return to Edmunds County soon. The Food Pantry will be in Ipswich Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Edmunds County 4-H Building. North Central attended a high school basketball extravaganza in Highmore last Saturday. The NC boys would defeat Lyman 57-50 in that event, while the Thunder girls were sustaining a 43-27 setback to Jones County. The Thunder boys had to overcome a 7-14 first quarter deficit. And when it was all said and done the visitors would come up short vs the Thunder girls, but the Knights would win the boys game.
