Henry Bernard Meier died at home surrounded by his family in Sacramento, Calif. on Feb. 11, 2022 at the age of 97. Henry was born in Roscoe on May 9, 1924, to Andrew and Magdalena (Ehnes) Meier, the third of 13 children. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Roscoe High School. The Region 1B Wrestling Tournament was held Saturday, Feb. 18 in Britton. The Ipswich/Bowdle Tigers had seven athletes compete with five placing and three qualifying for the State Tournament in Sioux Falls on February 24-26.
