    The SDHSAA has announced the first-ever Girls' Weight Class information, as well as pairings for the Class "A" and Class "B" Dual Championships at this year's Dakota State High School Wrestling Championships to be held in Rapid City this weekend.     Gerald "Jerry" Jerome Volk was the oldest child of Jacob and Frances (Mitzel) Volk, born in Hague, N.D. on Feb. 1, 1943. He grew up on a farm in Ipswich listening to "The Lone Ranger" and "Lawrence Welk" on the radio in the evenings, the latter which inspired him to learn to sing and play the accordion. After graduating from Ipswich High School in 1961, he spent some time in the Black Hills area of South Dakota and fell in love with the beauty of the area.     The Edmunds County Shooting Sports held their first postal on February 15. Shooting a qualifying score enables the shooter to participate in the State Shoot in Ft. Pierre on April 23-25. Nine BB Gun shooters showed their skills in standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone positions and 15 archers competed.
