    A sign of spring is that only a few elite high school basketball programs are still in contention and this year one of those teams is the Ipswich Lady Tigers! They will indeed be making the trip to Huron for the State B on March 7,8,9 in the Huron Arena. The last time the IHS girls had attended a state basketball tourney was during the 1988-89 school year, when they were in the Class A ranks. That's some 30 years ago!     Deloris Richards, age 83, of Milbank died on February 28, 2019, at Milbank Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Central United Methodist Church in Milbank. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Ipswich, at a later date.     Berniece Bitz was born December 27, 1948. In 1970, Berniece graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Pierre. She enjoyed the nursing profession, especially long-term care nursing. She made this profession a lifelong passion until cancer impaired her health and she was no longer able to work. On July 2, 1973, Berniece married Willard Jundt at Aberdeen, fulfilling another life dream of being a wife, and soon after, a mother.     Ipswich closed out its boys' high school basketball season at 11-10 with a Region 2B 59-42 loss to Potter County at Gettysburg last Tuesday.
