On the evening of March 9, the Ipswich Volunteer Fire Department in coordination with the Ipswich School and Superintendent Trent Osborne, preformed a live training drill that simulated a fire inside one of the rooms at the school. Ipswich middle school and high school music students will perform their Spring Concert on Tuesday, March 22 at 7 p.m. in the School Theatre. Featured music groups include the 6-7 band, middle school choir, 8-12 band, 9-12 choir, under the direction of Nate Collins and Becky Nierman. Kamryn Boettcher and Quincy Olivier attended the Art Wars at Northern State University. They competed in the Drawing and Painting categories. They had 90 minutes to create a piece of art inspired by a prompt. Then they gave an artist's statement to the judge explaining their piece. Quincy placed first in drawing, and third in painting.
