    The General Election is Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024 in all the precincts in Edmunds County. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Nov. 5.     The annual Christmas at the Courthouse will be held again this year. The event is sponsored by the Wily Wizards 4-H Club.   • Locals inducted into SD Municipal League City Official Hall of Fame

    The South Dakota Municipal League recently inducted 13 individuals from across the state into their Hall of Fame. 2024 SDML Hall of Fame inductees include two from Roscoe.     The Ipswich students will be leaving Thursday Oct. 31 for All -State Chorus and will be practicing with 900 other students for the performance on Nov. 2. The annual South Dakota All-State Chorus and Orchestra event is November 1-2 in Sioux Falls. The chorus will rehearse in the Denny Sanford Premier Center beginning on Friday morning, Nov. 1.     The Ipswich Tigers Volleyball team got a senior night 3-1 win over Aberdeen Christian on Oct. 22 in the Tiger Den. IHS won the first set 25-21, then the Knights won the second 22-25. Then Ipswich won the next two sets, 25-15 and 25-22. The Ipswich offense was led by Kaylin Onken with 14 kills and Marley Guthmiller with 13 kills. The team had 37 kills.     The Ipswich Tigers football team won the opening game in the 9A playoff bracket. IHS, the #7 seed, stopped Estelline/Hendricks, the #10 seed, with a score of 44-12.
