  • Ipswich science students earn honors at NSU Science Fair

    Nine Ipswich Public School students competed at the 36th annual Northern South Dakota Science & Math competition in Aberdeen on March 28, 2019. Six middle school students were registered in the junior division and three high school students were registered in the senior division. Ipswich students arrived at the NSU Barnett Center that morning along with 14 other schools from around the area. After setting up their boards, students waited 30 minutes before the first round of interviews began....

    The Edmunds County Shooting Sports held their second postal on March 25, 2019. Shooting a qualifying score enables the shooter to participate in the State Shoot in Ft. Pierre on April 26-28. Seven BB Gun shooters showed their skills in standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone positions and 15 archers competed.     The Ipswich varsity golfers are planning on attending a Friday invitational meet at Michell on Friday, April 5 and are no doubt anxious to get their season underway after battling the snow banks and standing water here.     Ipswich had attended another indoor track and field meet at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen, the Wolves Invite on Tuesday, March 26. It featured a somewhat limited number of events and no team points were kept, but was still well-attended to say the least. "There were over 1000 athletes entered in this meet," said IHS head coach Todd Thorson. "And the Tigers really had a good day." How good?
