    Ipswich voters will elect two City Council members on Tuesday, April 9. The election polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the day of the election. The Food Pantry will be in Ipswich Tuesday, April 9. 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. by the swimming pool since the 4-H Building will be used for the City Council election. The Food Pantry will be in Bowdle on Friday, April 12 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church.     To the Voters of Ipswich City: Did you read the published meeting minutes from the City Equalization Meeting held on March 21? There appears to be a serious conflict of interest regarding the assessment votes at that meeting. Five of the six council members were present. Per published meeting minutes, the members voted unanimously to approve all requests for tax relief. To approve those requests a minimum of four yes votes would be required.     Ipswich Track and Field athletes competed in the Dewey Donat Classic indoor track and field meet in the Barnett Center on Thursday, March 28 in Aberdeen. Kyle Hettich won the 200 Meter with a 23.81. In the 55 Meter Dash Hettich was second, 6.73, followed by Trevor Heinz at 6.76. An IHS 4x400 Relay team was second at 3:49.17. Hettich and Heinz were joined by Casey Geditz and Rasmus Loken. Rasmus Loken was second in the 55m Hurdles, with a 8:76 clocking.     The North Central track and field team began their season with an indoor meet in the Barnett Center on the Northern State University campus on Tuesday, March 26. Raynor Sprague placed second in the 400 Meters run at 55.49. He was also second in the Triple Jump with a 33’4 leap. Tyler Bluhm was also a runner-up in the High Jump with a 5’4 jump.
