    The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will begin construction on U.S. Highway 12 from Aberdeen to Ipswich on Monday, April 11, 2022. The project consists of modifying intersections, constructing passing lanes, bridge end approach slabs and pavement, lighting, and guardrail. The construction operations will reduce traffic to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction.     Jonathan Waldner announces he is a candidate for Edmunds County Sheriff. In 2007, Waldner began working at the Brown County Jail as a correction officer.
