Having to put in a new sump pump over the weekend was a highlight of our Easter vacation. And let's just say that our basement floor is now quite a bit shinier than it was before its unexpected bath. But we were at least able to find a brand new pump with many of the stores being closed for Easter. The funeral for Norma Schneider, 83, of Ipswich, was at 4 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019 at Gramm Funeral Home, Ipswich. Pastor Mark Gullerud, of Zion Lutheran Church, led the worship service. Clifford G. Tuttle, 82, Fargo, N.D., died Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in his home. Clifford Tuttle was born October 23, 1936 in Janesville, Wis. He attended Springvale Academy and William Jewel College, Liberty Mo. He taught school in Kiefer, Okla., farmed in Ipswich and also served as a nursing home administrator in North Dakota. Ipswich’s Brian Hogie was named the Aberdeen American News All-Area Girls Basketball Coach of the Year. And three of his stalwarts were also named to the AAN All-Area Girls Basketball Team for 2019. The weather has finally cooperated somewhat for high school athletic events. Ipswich was scheduled to attend a track and field meet in Eureka, Tuesday, April 23. There will also be varsity track and field action at Gettysburg on April 27 and again on April 30 at Eureka.
