The Edmunds County Commission accepted the resignation of Sheriff Todd Holtz during their meeting on April 26, 2022. The resignation was effective April 29, 2022. Ipswich swept its own varsity invitational track and field meet last Thursday, on the varsity side, while the youthful Tiger thinclad boys were able to capture their middle-school results as well. Ipswich attended a high school track and field meet at Groton on Tuesday, April 26 and the Tiger boys were second only to Class A Milbank, which indeed won the girls' outcome, as well. The Milbank boys outscored Ipswich 177 to 139 and also rolled up 110 girls' team points to stave off the runners-up from Aberdeen Central 110-97.5. The Ipswich High School golfers were indeed able to see some recent action despite the rain. Their golfers attended a varsity meet in Faulkton on April 28, placing second as a team in the boys outcome to Faulkton 237 to 239, a mere two stroke difference. And the IHS girls were represented by Riley Kleffman, who finished 19th among 23 golfers with her 120.
