    The Music awards were given during the Pops Concert on May 5. Senior winners were Chloe Jager, most valuable vocal student; Jacob Bakken, appreciation for four years of support in the music department; and Taylor Thorson, most valuable band student.     The Ipswich School Academic/ Athletic Awards Night will be Thursday, May 12 at 7 p.m. in the Ipswich School Theater. The event honors high school students for success in the classroom and in extracurricular athletic accomplishments during the 2021-2022 school year. Seniors are also recognized for the college scholarships they have been awarded. An Art Display in the lobby of the new entrance will also be held.     The Ipswich boys were able to place in four different relay events during the Howard Wood meet last weekend in Sioux Falls. They had a second in the 4x100 at :44.82 won by Chester Area. And the IHS runners were Trevor Beyers, Colby Sylte, Carson Gohl and Ty Kadlec. They also picked up a second in the 4x200 at 1:32.99, also narrowly trailing Chester.     Ipswich did really well in the boys 'varsity division at a recent LRC high school golf meet in Aberdeen on May 5. The Tiger boys indeed shaded rival Faulkton in the boys' team standings with a 246. That's because Faulkton would fire a 246 as well. It was that close!
