    Ipswich’s Annual Summer Event – Trail Days – will be held June 18-20. The three-day event will kick-off on Friday, June 18 with the Trail Days Cup Golf Tournament at the Split Rock Country Club. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a shot-gun start at 12 noon for the four-person scramble 18-hole golf tournament.     Tena put up a red, blue and white wind sock on a flag pole. You may have noticed the new strange flags on Monday, because that is the 17th of May (Syttende Mai). And they indeed are the Norwegian flags celebrating that country's own birthday similar to the 4th of July in our country. Ipswich was also scheduled to enter a pre-regional warm-up meet in Huron on Monday, but those results were not available as of our newspaper deadline. The Tiger boys' golfers had also attended a James Valley Christian invite there last Thursday. Luke Peterson became the medalist that day.     Ipswich competed in the Lake Region Conference track and field meet last Thursday, hosted by Ipswich. And that was an understatement! The Tigers actually dominated the meet, especially at the varsity level. (This meet featured both some varsity and middle-school events.) Ipswich swept the varsity team standings, winning the girls' event with 219.5 team points and the Tiger boys scored 175 with Warner placing second in both cases.
