    The Ipswich track and field teams will be attending the State B in Sioux Falls on May 26-28. Nearly 20 Tiger boys and 13 Tiger girls have qualified for the B this year and that's awesome!     Ipswich and Edmunds Central attended the regional golf tourney on Monday in Pierre. The Tiger boys placed first as a team, topping Faulkton 240 to 248. Luke Peterson of Ipswich was also the individual medalist with his 68, followed by Bennett Cassens of Faulkton's 74. Edmunds Central was fourth as a boys' team with a 272, right behind Sully Buttes.     Ipswich had a busy schedule of high school golf, starting with a Bowdle junior varsity/middle school golf meet. Their JV event was won by Jacob Bakken of Ipswich at 50, followed by Noah Preszler of Bowdle with a 56, then Trent Beyers of Edmunds Central at 58 and Brooks Osborne of Ipswich at 62.     The Ipswich Tigers Special Olympics Team competed in Milbank at the NE Area Track and Field Event on Friday, April 29. It was a rainy, cool day, but all of the athletes did very well and had a lot of fun. The team was able to purchase new jackets this year thanks to the Knights of Columbus's generous donation.     This year's Region 2B high school track and field event last Wednesday at Gettysburg was dominated by Ipswich and Miller thinclads. The Tiger boys indeed edged runners-up Miller 185 to 146 for their championship. The girls' outcome, meanwhile, would find the IHS girls finishing second only to Miller by a 146 to 125.5 tally.
