Holy Cross Parish hosted a teaching and exposition of Sacred Relics on Saturday, May 22. The wind decides to blow out of the north several days in a row and then from the south for multiple days and most recently back to being predominately from the west. There is a new format for the 2021 Class B high school track and field state meet! It will consist of the Top 24 qualifiers in each of the 19 girls and boys events recorded during the season up to and including the various regional meets. So when it is all said and done, Ipswich will send 13 girls and 12 boys to the State B track and field meet scheduled in Rapid City on May 28-29. Ipswich had some positive things happen at the Region 5B high school golf meet at the Broadland Creek golf course in Huron on May 24. The IHS boys' team qualified for the State B intact, thanks to its first-place finish in the 5B team-score standings. Ipswich's high school golfers attended a pre-region warm-up meet last Monday in Huron. There were no medals handed out at this meet, but Luke Peterson placed second only to Faulkton's Bennett Cassens, with both golfers actually carding a 78.
