    The Ipswich Track and Field girls and boys came home with honors from the State B Meet in Sioux Falls May 24 and 25, 2019. The girls were the runners-up and the boys were fourth. That meant they were the winners of the Combined Championship.     The Bramble Park Zoo Animal Ambassadors will be visiting Ipswich on Wednesday, June 5 at 1 p.m. at the Bandshell on Main Street. The Animal Ambassadors have been invited to help kick off the 2019 Marcus P. Beebe Memorial Library Summer Reading Program, A Universe Of Stories, that begins later that same day at 4:15 p.m. The Animal Ambassadors are part of a Formal Outreach Program designed by the Bramble Park Zoo to travel to outreach locations like Ipswich. She was united in marriage to John Roth of Roscoe on Sept. 30, 1952 in Ipswich where they lived for a short time before moving to Lead, where John worked in the Homestake Gold Mine for 14 years.     Several Edmunds County 4-H Archery Shooting Sports members won awards at the State Shooting Sports Competition held in April.     Edmunds County 4-H Shooting Sports will have Shotgun again this summer. They will shoot every Monday starting on June 10. Practice will be held at the Sportsman’s Club north of Ipswich starting at 6:30 p.m. The first class will include safety training followed by shooting. Members may shoot the shotgun of their choice. Shells and clay pigeons for the first round will be provided for 4-H members. Extra rounds will be available for a fee. Shooters must wear eye protection and ear plugs.
