The 2018 Trail Days parade begins at 10:30 a.m. The theme is “Ipswich Rocks!”. Each year the committee picks a Parade Marshal. This year they have chosen Rich and Linda Johnson. The Johnsons moved to Ipswich in 1985. They both retired in the last few years, both with 30 years or more of service. Linda retired in 2015 after 30 years with North Central Farmers Elevator. Ipswich Community Vacation Bible School is being held at the Holy Cross Parish Center this year. The J.W. Parmley Historical Home Society received a $1000 grant from the Ipswich Area Foundation to restore the gardens in the Edmunds County Memorial Park. This summer the Tiger Post children will help plant the gardens, water the plants, and weed the gardens. On May 18, the round gardens in the Park were planted with annual plants for this summer. Every June also has a number of organized weekend events around the area and we didn't even make it over to one of them, Fort Sisseton, this past weekend. The Ipswich Flower and Garden Club announces that Mike and Judy Steen are the first "Yard of the Week" winners for 2018.
