    Safety Camp was held on Wednesday, June 2 at the 4-H Building in Ipswich. Seventy youth from Edmunds and McPherson Counties had a fun and educational day. Classes were held on electrical safety, gun safety, first aid, PTO safety, lawnmower safety, driving safety, fire safety, atv safety, grain bin and farm safety.     Ipswich School patrons will elect two School Board representatives on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. The election polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The polling place is the School. Use the Main Entrance. There are three candidates to fill two three-year terms on the School Board. Candidates are incumbent Tadd Thorson, Rhonda Geditz and Dustin Geditz.   • Benefit planned to help with medical costs for Hoven man

    A benefit is planned for Lance Stuwe of Hoven on Saturday, June 26 in the Hoven Legion Hall from 5 to 8 p.m. Stuwe suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) on May 1 after falling down the stairs at his home. He spent 25 days in the hospital and is unsure when he will be able to return to running his own flooring business (Stuwe Flooring). The benefit will help with medical costs and help him and his family in this difficult time. He and his wife, Krystal (Davis) had previously lived in Ipswich.
