This year’s theme is “You Won’t Get BOARD in 4-H!” Entries need to be brought to the 4-H Building on Monday, August 5 by 12:30 p.m. There will be exhibit cards there for you to fill out and attached to your entry. An exhibit of photography profiles “Our Place” — 15 years of Onaka is planned on June 22 and 23. The photography exhibit by Claudia Barondeau Laws will be held June 22, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and June 23, noon to 4 p.m., in the Onaka Community Hall. Originally from Rapid City, now residing in Salt Lake City, Barondeau Laws has been enamored with Onaka since she was young. The Edmunds County Horse Show will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at the Trail Days Complex. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. The show starts at 9:30 a.m. with showmanship. Twenty-eight Cloverbud 4-H members from Edmunds and McPherson County enjoyed Cloverbud Camp on Wednesday, June 12 at the 4-H Building in Ipswich. This year's camp included a Sponge Garden and several STEM activities. STEM projects included Hover Balloons, Paper Spinners, Exploding Boomerangs, Marshmallow Structures, Slime, and Egg Parachutes. The 2024 Trail Days Bulls and Broncs event was successful. Spud Creek Rodeo Co provided great bucking stock to pair with excellent cowboys.
