    Provisions which strengthen South Dakota’s current graduated driver’s license laws for teen drivers between the ages of 14 and 18 take effect July 1. The changes were part of Senate Bill 113, which was approved by this year’s state Legislature and signed by Gov. Kristi Noem.   • Families set to receive food assistance due to COVID-19

    The South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS) in collaboration with the Department of Education will be providing additional assistance with food costs to families who lost access to free or reduced-price school meals in response to COVID-19 related school closures. Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) will provide families with a one-time benefit of $285 per eligible child. The benefit is issued through an Electronic Benefit Transaction (EBT) card.
