    Ipswich Tiger Post students and staff have planted native South Dakota plants in the gardens. They are learning to garden and raise butterflies, which they plan to release later in the season.     Local youth have been learning about God at Ipswich Community Vacation Bible School the last three Wednesdays at Holy Cross School. Each Wednesday the VBS campers looked for rocks which had Bible verses on them. The rocks were decorated by Sue Hoyle.   • Multi-county Horse Show held in Ipswich

    The Edmunds County 4-H Horse Show was held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Yellowstone Trail Complex in Ipswich. The 15 participants were from Edmunds, McPherson, Campbell, Faulk, Walworth, and Brown counties. Edmunds County participants were Reaghan Bowers, Jalyssa Hutson, Jailey Hutson, Quincy Olivier, Kaylin Onken, and Jacey Rossow. Champion Showman from Edmunds County was Junior Quincy Olivier.   • LEPC meets Thursday at Glacial Lakes

    The quarterly meeting of the Edmunds County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will be held on Thursday, July 5 at Glacial Lakes Energy at 6:30 p.m. After supper and before the meeting they will tour the Glacial Lakes facility. A full-scale exercise is planned at Glacial Lakes when plans are complete. Upcoming DOJ and Homeland Security funding grant for 2018 is also on the agenda. A CERT meeting and a Citizen’s Corp.   • Achievement Days BBQ tickets available now

    Tickets are available for the annual 4-H Achievement Days BBQ which will be held on Friday, August 3 at the 4-H grounds in Ipswich. Serving will be from 5:30 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. The BBQ will be followed by the Livestock Premium Sale. BBQ chicken will be served with the usual side dishes and beverages.
