    The Feeding South Dakota Mobile Food Pantry will return to Edmunds County on two days. The Food Pantry will be in Ipswich on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Edmunds County 4-H Building. The Food Pantry will return on Friday, July 15 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bowdle. Proxy pickups are allowed.     Make plans to attend the Menoken Farms Bus Tour on July 26, 2022. The Campbell, Edmunds, McPherson, and Walworth County Conservation Districts are collaborating to host a bus day trip to Menoken Farms, just east of Bismarck, N.D. Menoken Farm is a 150-acre demonstration farm owned and operated by Burleigh County Soil Conservation District.     Tickets are now available for the annual 4-H Achievement Days BBQ which will be held on Friday, August 5 at the 4-H grounds in Ipswich. Serving will be from 5:30 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. The BBQ will be followed by the Livestock Premium Sale.     Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink as the old saying goes. We have really gotten a lot of 2022 precipitation in Ipswich in only two or three weather systems. The rest of the time we've been happy for any precip. we could get. Especially when we have had those heat spells from time to time! The official weather guy in Ipwich Marv Seyer said that he got 2.8" from the storm. (Leland from Roscoe had about the same.)     The Edmunds County Special Foods Contest was held on Tuesday, June 28 at the 4-H Building in Ipswich. Members were given 90 minutes to prepare their recipes. They were judged on food preparation, technique, nutrition, creating an attractive place setting, and food quality. Receiving a purple ribbon was Hannah Beyers for her Beef Enchiladas.     The Edmunds County 4-H Horse Show was held on Wednesday, June 29 at the Yellowstone Trail Complex in Ipswich. The nine participants were from Edmunds, McPherson, and Walworth counties. Edmunds County participants were Jalyssa Hutson, Quincy Olivier, and Emerald Wittmeier. Champion Showman from Edmunds County was Senior Quincy Olivier and Junior Jalyssa Hutson.
