The South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) announced that nearly 200 cities, counties, and tribes across South Dakota will collectively receive $500,000 in grants to combat mosquitoes and prevent the spread of West Nile Virus (WNV) in 2024. These grants have been allocated to support local efforts in controlling mosquito populations and reducing the risk of WNV transmission. Edmunds County received a $5,000 grant. The Roscoe Summer Youth Baseball and Softball teams recently attended their 8th Annual NSU Team Camps. The NSU Softball coaches worked directly with the groups on drills and skills specific to each sport.
