    A Florida man drove through Edmunds County last week riding on a bicycle trip across the United States. Jeff Peterson, a Bristol native, began his trip near Seattle, Wash. on June 13. His trip, Sea2Key 2021, will cross the country ending at Key West, Florida. Day 24 of the trip began in Mandan, N.D. on July 6.     Construction continues on the new Ipswich Athletic Complex concession stand/bathroom facility.     Tickets are on sale for the annual 4-H Achievement Days BBQ which will be held on Friday, August 6 at the 4-H grounds in Ipswich. BBQ beef will be served from 5:30 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. The BBQ will be followed by the Livestock Premium Sale.     A friends and family remembrance for Lyle Grau was held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the TKT Steakhouse in Bowdle, from 1-4 p.m. Lyle Grau was born February 3, 1947 in Faulkton to Albert and Gladys Grau, the 12th of 13 children.     The Edmunds County Special Foods Contest was held on Friday, July 6 at the 4-H Building in Ipswich. Members were given 90 minutes to prepare their recipes. They were judged on food preparation, technique, nutrition, creating an attractive place setting, and food quality.     Bob Thomason, District 4 Commander, presented two honors to the Ipswich American Legion. The Post won the "Go Getters" award for meeting their membership goals for 2021. Ipswich Commander Terry Braun was also an individual winner. He received a personalized mug. A drawing was held for members who had their dues in on time and Terry was the winner.
