We had planted a small tree a few years ago and for some inexplicable reason it was one of the few relatively new trees in our entire yard that survived the horrible winter. The Edmunds County Special Foods Contest was held on Wednesday, July 10 at the 4-H Building in Ipswich. Members were given 90 minutes to prepare their recipes. Open Horse Show and Fun Day is part of the 2019 Edmunds County Achievement Days. The activities will begin with registration starting at 3:30 p.m. at the Trail Days Arena on Wednesday, July 31. Events will start at 4 p.m. Riders of all ages are encouraged to come and participate in the numerous fun events planned. Riders under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult in the arena. Tiger Post youth have been working with the residents at the Ipswich nursing home. A group of older Tiger Post students came to the nursing home and did some gardening with residents on June 12, 2019. They planted flowers donated by locals and seeded some wildflowers into the shade portions of the raised beds. They also planted vegetables donated; tomatoes, peppers, peas, beans, and melons.
