The Edmunds County Public Transit committee had a meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Ipswich. The meeting was held to assess public transit and human services transportation needs within Edmunds County. Ipswich Finance Officer Amy Jaenisch and Roscoe Mayor Leland Treichel attended the meeting and admitted they did not know what was available for local residents. The 2019 Edmunds County 4-H Achievement Days will kick off on Wednesday, July 31 with the Dog Show. The show will start at 8 a.m. at the 4-H Building in Ipswich. Dogs and their owners have been practicing since May and will show their skills in obedience, showmanship, agility, and rally. Members are coached by Debi Munger and Hannah Toennies. Our area just emerged from a wet period that in some instances included too much hail. Yes, last week everyone seemed to receive ample moisture in varying amounts. Right here in Ipswich we recorded around an inch and a half in my two gauges. One is in millimeters and another inches and millimeters so I averaged them out and they indeed seemed real close to the actual official measurements. Ipswich is forming a Youth Football team for grades 3-6. This will be a tackle football team. Teams are typically separated in 3-4 and 5-6 grades but some games may be different.
