The 2019 Edmunds County Achievement Days were held July 31 – August 2 in Ipswich. The event started on Wednesday morning with the Dog Show with 15 participants. They were judged on obedience, agility, rally, and showmanship. Top showman awards will be presented at Recognition Night. Naomi May Omland, 94, of Aberdeen, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen. Her memorial service was at 11 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2019, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen, with Father David Janes officiating.
