The summer dance students of Ashley Geist-Cusick will present a free recital for the public on Sunday, August 25 at 7:30 pm in the Ipswich High School Theater. Baseball season on the local level took its final swing during the 2019 campaign with the Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern Legion baseball team attending their state tournament this past weekend hosted by Groton. The W.I.N. team also includes some players from the Roscoe area, so our entire area is well represented. Unfortunately W.I.N was defeated in both of its outings played under the double-elimination format. These young people will all leave for various colleges soon. There were plenty of trucks, as well as a variety of other equipment, for youth (of all ages) to touch near the Ipswich baseball field on Aug. 7. Companies donated equipment and allowed youth to check them out. Plenty of horns could be heard. Supper was sold as a fundraiser for the local youth football program which is forming this fall.
