Ipswich has a youthful girls' high school volleyball team this year with no seniors, coached by Trent Osborne, assisted by Laura Ochsner. But they are enthusiastic to get their season underway. And they won't have long to wait. They'll host Highmore-Harrold on Thursday, August 24. The Tigers will also play host to Groton on Aug. 29. Both are non-conference affairs. Ipswich dropped a 24-6 Lake Region Conference varsity high school football decision on a very warm evening to say the least last Friday in Faulkton. Ipswich was indeed able to move the football into the red zone inside the 20-yard line especially during the second half. Ipswich plans to enter high school cross country action in Pierre on August 25 and will also likely attend a meet in Mobridge the next day, according to head coach Todd Thorson.
