    Young dancers from seven communities presented their recital in the Ipswich School Theatre on Sunday, August 25, 2019. The dancers were summer students of Ashley Geist-Cusick. She said there were 56 dancers in the recital in seven classes. Students learned the basic beginning steps of ballet, jazz and modern dance styles ad then rehearsed them over the summer.     The Marcus P. Beebe Memorial Library 2019 Summer Reading Program "A Universe of Stories" ended July 31. During the eight week program, 66 children participated in space related activities and read 769 books. The reading program started with a visit from the Watertown Bramble Park Zoo. Later that day the children were read the book "To Burp or Not to Burp" and learned how the astronaut bodies function in space and what is recycled in space.     Ipswich Coach Todd Thorson will be inducted into the Aberdeen Central High School (CHS) Hall of Fame Class 2019. Thorson, a 1989 CHS graduate, will be inducted into the "Athletics" section. "Coach Thorson has led the Ipswich boys' and girls' cross country and track and field teams to MANY state championships.     From the Ipswich Tribune March 29, 1928 edition THIEF IS CAPTURED AND JAILED HERE Nick Russel is lodged in the County jail charged with stealing $330.00 and a bay horse from Wilhelm Harris. The theft was committed last Thursday. Russel worked for Harris and while he was absent from home took the $330 which was in $10 and $20 bills and the bay horse. He started east.     The IHS cross country season kicks off on Friday, August 30 in Pierre for the respective Ipswich cross country teams, followed by a trip to Redfield on September 5 (Ipswich's first home meet will be hosted on September 14 at Split Rock).
