    Members of the Ipswich Lions Club will be offering free vision screening for local school children. Vision screening will be offered in the Ipswich School September 9 and 10 and Wednesday, September 11 screening will be done at Edmunds Central School in Roscoe. Free vision screening will also be offered for children at Deerfield, Pembrook and Plainview Colonies and Boulder Colony in Hosmer.     The IHS Tigers began the 2024 football season with a 42-0 win over Timber Lake on Friday, Aug. 23 in Ipswich. The Tigers got on the scoreboard in the first quarter with a seven yard TD run by QB Max Kulesa. Kyle Hettich took over in the second quarter with two runs of 27 yards and five yards, respectively.     The high school varsity volleyball begins this week. IPSWICH The Ipswich volleyball season began yesterday, Aug. 27 when the Tigers traveled to Highmore-Harrold. Trent Osborne will again lead the team with Laura Ochsner assisting him. There are 15 girls on the varsity team with four seniors — Rylee Kleffman, Jaydin Stiles, Reaghan Bowers and Kaylin Onken.
