The weather for Edmunds Central's homecoming picnic lunch, parade and later that evening football game versus Deuel in Ipswich was ideal, perfect actually! Not even windy! The first week of football vs. Potter County Carson’s stats included 14 carries for 207 yards, 2 TDs, 1 rec 50 yds, 1 TD, 3 sacks, 5 tackles, 1 forced fumble and 1 safety. Ipswich/Edmunds Central dropped its first high school football decision of the 2019 campaign with a 41-6 non-conference loss to Deuel last Friday in Ipswich, as part of the EC homecoming festivities. Deuel was led by Carter Hoffman with three rushing touchdowns and a receiving TD. He ended up with 282 yards rushing on 16 carries.
