    Ipswich High School's homecoming celebration for 2021 is this week. The theme is "Into the Comics: Issue 2021." You still have time to register your parade entry.     Attention: All volleyball fans! Ipswich will host the Ipswich Subway Invitational Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 18 beginning at 10 a.m. There will be two pools, one played in the gym and the second in the auxiliary gym. Ipswich will play in the opening game at 10 a.m. in the big gym in Pool A versus Leola/Frederick. Other teams in that pool are Milbank and Kimball/White Lake and they will play at 10:45 a.m. Then those teams will play each other in a series of games.     Ipswich edged Sully Buttes 3-1 in non-conference high school varsity volleyball action at Sully Buttes last Tuesday. The match opened with 25-17 victory for Ipswich that was capped by a set-point service error on Sully Buttes. But the hosts quickly regrouped and living up to their nickname Chargers they charged back for a 25-21 win of set number #2 which was punctuated by a set-point hitting error on Ipswich.     Ipswich attended a high school volleyball tourney in Mobridge last Saturday, won by Mobridge-Pollock. Ipswich finished third, winning the third-place match 2-1 over Stanley County 25-21, 21-25 and 25-21. Ipswich was 82-105 in hitting, led by Gracie Lange’s 29-37 effort that included 14 kills.     Ipswich hosted a high school cross country meet at Split Rock last Saturday. The IHS Tiger boys were able to place second as a team that day, second only to Miller's seven team points. Ipswich was indeed next with 33! The Mobridge-Pollock Tigers were third with their 37, Highmore-Harrold fourth with 37, followed by Faulkton with 44 and Aberdeen Roncalli with 44.
