There were probably an upset or two in the girls’ regional tourneys. This week the boys region is underway. And...
From the Ipswich Tribune April 5, 1928 edition JEFFERSON FOUND HIS LETTER WRITING A BURDEN Thomas Jefferson liked to write letters and to receive them, but the burden became almost unendurable. He wrote John Adams in 1817 that from dinner to dark he was “drudging at the writing table.” “All this,” he continued “to answer letters into which neither interest nor inclination on my part enters; and often from persons whose names I have never before heard. Leola/Frederick made a short trip down to Ipswich on Friday, Feb. 25 and came away with a 39-31 upset victory over the Tigers. But there are really no upsets in Lake Region Conference league play, particularly when those two rival teams take the floor. Defense was the name of Friday's game with each team managing a 5-5 tie in the opening quarter. The second quarter resulted in a 14-12 advantage for the visitors, despite a five-point mini run by the Tigers, consisting of a Taylor Thorson rebound...

That sent the Thunder, also 6-15 with their win, to Sully Buttes to face the top-seeded Chargers in further regional action last Thursday. Meanwhile, the Tiger girls were as cold in shooting as the weather outside that day, finishing 7-45 in total floor shots,...
