There's a first time for everything, they say. And now this is true of the Northern State University Gypsy Day parade. That's right the parade was wisely canceled because of the winter storm that was persisting in the Aberdeen area well into Saturday. So no parade this year and also no high school Friday night football game this past week. Ipswich/Edmunds Central was scheduled to host Herreid/Selby Area and their area was indeed getting a whole bundle of snow among other things. So the game was wisely postponed until this Monday and even though...

They've indeed already played four matches there, winning all of them, the most recent occurring on Monday evening, when the Ipswich Lady Tigers swept their Mobridge-Pollock counterparts 3-0. They won their opening set 25-18 and then staved off the home team 27-25 in a hard-fought second set. Ipswich closed out the match with a much easier...

Playing under ideal weather conditions on Monday afternoon starting with a 4 p.m. kick-off, thanks to last Friday's weather-related postponement, the Ipswich/Edmunds football team dominated visiting Herreid/Selby Area 22-0. And that handed the Wolverines team only its second loss of the season! Ipswich/EC seemed to control the line of scrimmage both offensively and defensively, while playing nearly errorless football. It was a different situation for the Wolverines, though, losing five fumbles...
