For the second year in a row, Miss Ipswich was crowned the Princess of Summer at the South Dakota Snow Queen Festival. The Ipswich Knights of Columbus will have their annual Free Throw Contest on Sunday, Jan. 17 in the Holy Cross gym starting at 1 p.m. All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are eligible to participate in their respective age divisions. The Ipswich UCC Church has started a stained glass window restoration fund-raiser. The stained glass windows in the church were installed during the ministry of the Reverend Godfrey Matthews in 1917. The following year Rev. Matthews was called as a Y.M.C.A. Secretary to Fort Sill in Oklahoma. The invite was won by Linton, N.D. with 111 and then Aberdeen Central JV with 97.5. Having three individual champions did not hurt at all.
