    The Ipswich 2022 Snow Queens were crowned on Saturday, Nov. 13 in the School Theatre. Tasia Rivera, daughter of Robynn and Ryan Konsor, was crowned 2022 Miss Ipswich Snow Queen.     The annual Ipswich Community Thanksgiving service is planned on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. in the United Church of Christ. Pastor Tim Fugman will give the message, “A Rare Attitude.” You are invited to share the Friendly Feast dinner before the service in the UCC Fellowship Hall from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Carry-out will be available.     The Ipswich School hosted a Veterans Day program on Nov. 11 in the School Theatre. The Ipswich Band and Chorus performed. Jesse Knittel, a member of the Ipswich American Legion, gave the Veterans Day Message about the U.S. Flag etiquette and care. He had assistance from fellow Legion members.     It is indeed that time of the year in high school sports around the state. The football state events were last weekend in Vermillion at the DakotaDome. And has been the case all too often in recent years the teams from the southern part of the state seem to dominate the results. And unfortunately that proved to be true again this year.     The Ipswich football team was the 2021 Lake Region Conference (LRC) champions. Tigers named to the honor team were seniors Carson Gohl, Ty Kadlec, Zach Geditz, Luke Peterson and juniors Tyler Hettich and Ian Beyers. Honorable mention picks were Jordan Nierman and Lucas Rowland.
