    A benefit is planned for Maxwell Geditz and his family on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019 in the Ipswich School. Geditz, an IHS senior who recently struggled with medical complications. Funds will help offset expenses incurred and ongoing medical appointments.   • Dakota Access Pipeline donates to local counties

    Dakota Access Pipeline, LLC has donated $20,000 to each Emergency Management Agency across South Dakota in the counties through which the pipeline travels, totaling $260,000. With the aim of helping first responders, each county is encouraged to use the funds where they need it most. A check presentation was held Oct. 23, 2019 at the Edmunds County Courthouse.     HIGH SCHOOL Bailey Pitz is the Subway Student Athlete of the Week. Junior setter Bailey is one of the unsung heroes for the Tiger Volleyball team. Bailey’s calm demeanor was a steadying force when the team needed it most. Her teammates could count on her to be cool under pressure, her tenacious defense, aggressive setting, and steady serving.
