  • Meetings next week for proposed Edmunds County law enforcement center

    The Edmunds County Jail has been closed since November 2022 when the Sheriff’s Office was relocated to the Community Room in the Courthouse. Edmunds County Sheriff Jonathan Waldner has proposed building a law enforcement center, including a jail, dispatch center and Sheriff’s office.     The Ipswich Public Elementary students will celebrate Christmas with their Christmas Concert on Thursday, November 30.   • Holiday Fairs two Saturdays

    ‘Tis the Season for Holiday Fairs! Saturday, Nov. 25 you can search for holiday goodies at the Hosmer Holiday Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Fair is at a building on Main Street across from the Vet Clinic. The next week, on Dec. 2, the Hometown Holiday Fair is planned in Father Bormann Hall in Ipswich from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Fair is part of the Hometown Holiday Weekend festivities in Ipswich businesses.   • EC FOCUS Showcase planned

    The Edmunds Central FOCUS Showcase will be held in the school on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. The students will be on hand from 5:30 to 6:15 to talk about their classes and demonstrate their skills. The classes available to the students included Strider riding class, little zoologists, science experiments, archery and photography.     The Edmunds Central Parent Advisory Committee is hosting a Tree-A-Palooza, a Christmas tree raffle. They have 11 decorated Christmas trees that were donated by area businesses and families. If your name is drawn to win the tree, you will win the tree, decorations and gifts under that tree.     Mass of Christian Burial for James A. Flannery, 73, of Roscoe, was at 11 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Edmunds Central High School Gym in Roscoe with Father Tim Cone officiating.     Ipswich High School athletes were named to the Lake Region All-Conference teams for volleyball and football. Marley Guthmiller, IHS sophomore, was on the second LRC team. The LRC 2023 team champs were the Warner Monarchs. Ava Nilsson of Warner was the conference MVP.
