    Sam Grabowska will compete in the State Oral Interpretation Festival December 3 and 4 in Huron. IHS students competed in the Oral Interpretation District October 25. IHS participants were Sam, Gavin Wollman, Chloe Jager, Evelyn Tran and Kaden Boettcher. Sam was chose to compete with two pieces in the Regional 5B competition in Pierre on Nov. 15.     The past year or more has been particularly hard on residents of Avantara nursing home due to the restricted visitation and many residents don’t have family close by to make Christmas special. This year the Wily Wizards 4-H Club is sponsoring an angel tree at the Courthouse for the residents. The tree will be set up on Wednesday, November 24 and decorated with angels.     How about the Class B girls’ volleyball outcome? It was indeed well represented by the three LRC teams of the eight total. Well represented might be a little bit of a understatement, because Warner won it going 3-0 and the other LRC teams (Faulkton and Aberdeen Christian) each won at least one game there.   • Ipswich Blood Drive brings in 42 volunteers

    The Ipswich community hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Nov. 8 at Holy Cross Catholic Church which helped collect a total of 43 units of blood products for patients in need. A total of 42 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 35 individuals were able to donate at the Vitalant blood drive on Nov. 8. A total of eight donors also came forward to donate Power Red Cells (2RBC) which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution back to the donor.
