The benefit planned for Maxwell Geditz and his family has been rescheduled to Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019 in the Ipswich School. A basketball scrimmage and fun half-time games, three-point challenge, free throw competition, and half court challenge, will begin at 3 p.m. Attendees can nominate someone to compete in the half-time games for a free-will donation. The annual Women’s Fellowship Christmas Guest Night will be held on Tuesday night, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Ipswich UCC Church. Apparently more and more people are deciding to stay at home during the Thanksgiving week and give their kitchen utensils a much needed workout. Just be careful though. And traveling might be more of an issue this year anyway because of winter weather forecasts in our area. The southern part of the state was expecting to get most if not all of the first round of snow (not us?) and then the second bunch, more widespread might possibly begin later on Thanksgiving Day into the weekend. So keep those snow shovels and/or blowers handy just in case....
