    Three Ipswich students will participate in the State B Oral Interpretation Festival in Harrisburg Dec. 1 and 2, 2023. This year, the IHS oral interpretation team competed at the District 10B Contest in Mobridge November 6. They had six entries: Sam Grabowska for serious interpretation and for humorous interpretation, Adam Kanable for poetry interpretation, Shaylee Coisman for storytelling and for duet interpretation with Savannah Coisman, and Ethan Kukrall for non-original oratory.     The 32nd Annual South Dakota North Area Honor Band will present their concert on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 4 p.m. at the Johnson Fine Arts Center on the campus of Northern State University.     It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Edmunds County Courthouse and you are invited to get into the Holiday Spirit by attending the Christmas lighting ceremony on Friday, December 1 at 7 p.m. Trees line the hallway of all three floors of the Courthouse.     Dennis Morris passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 77. He was surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Bismarck, N.D. A memorial service to honor Dennis's life and legacy was held at Nov. 16, 2023, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Interment was at a later date in Ipswich.
