The weather was mild last Sunday for this time of the year, allowing a huge turnout at an Aberdeen Holiday Concert at the Johnson Fine Arts Center. The Medora N.D. summer musical cast were the performers. And they had been in Ipswich with their Christmas show a few years ago then at the Johnson Fine Arts Center three years ago, despite a massive blizzard in the area. Ipswich opened its 2022-23 girls' high school basketball campaign on Tuesday, Dec. 6 on the road vs. Sully Buttes. Details of that non-conference game weren't available as of our newspaper deadline. The Tiger girls would only win six varsity games last year with 15 defeats in a definite rebuilding season. The Ipswich boys basketball varsity finished 14-8 last year and would certainly like to be in the thick of things again this year under new head coach Stewart Bohle, assisted by Trent Osborne. They start the season on December 13 in a girls/boys twinbill playing North Central at Bowdle. (This is a league game.)
