Local churches will celebrate the Christmas season next week. Schedules for local churches include: Holy Cross and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Churches: St. Thomas the Apostle in Roscoe will have a Christmas Eve Mass at 5 p.m. on Dec. 24. It is indeed that time of the year and our deadlines to submit articles and/or ads for the Dec. 25 and January 1 editions of our newspapers have been moved up accordingly. So the deadline for materials for next week's publications will now be this Thursday at 5 p.m. for next week's Ipswich Tribune and Roscoe-Hosmer editions and then again next Thursday, December 26 at 5 p.m. for the following January 1 dated editions. Ipswich had mixed results versus Hitchcock-Tulare during a basketball classic at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls last Saurday. The Lady Tigers indeed dropped a 55-38 outcome after trailing 18-8, 25-18 and 40-25 with three quarters in the books. The Ipswich Area wrestlers competed in Faulkton on December 14 and placed five of the nine wrestlers that they entered.They combined for a tenth-place finish with 60 team points among the 16 teams that attended the Saturday meet.
