The North Central girls were 1-1 last week in basketball game. The Thunder girls hosted Sully Buttes on Dec. 13. The NC girls got a slow start against the Chargers 20-8 and then 33-19 at halftime. The Ipswich Knights of Columbus distributed 20 new winter coats to Susie Treftz, Dept of Social Services and Child Protective Services. This includes Edmunds and McPherson counties. Sixteen new winter coats were also distributed to Leola. Since starting the Coats for Kids program, the Knights of Columbus have distributed over 1,000,000 winter coats worldwide. The Ipswich basketball teams had a split decision when they met the Hitchcock-Tulare teams in a Dec. 14 doubleheader in Ipswich.
