Ipswich experienced some success in difficult competition at the Howard Wood Relays last weekend in Sioux Falls. The Tigers were particularly successful in some boys Class B relay events. Eureka hosted a high school golf tourney on April 29 named the Eureka Kuchen Classic. This was attended by the Ipswich boys who edged Edmunds Central 128 to 129 for their team title. Eight different boys teams were eligible for this affair with five girls' teams eligible for their team standings. Ipswich attended a varsity high school track and field meet early last week in Estelline on April 25 named the Par Gilligan Alumni Meet. The Tigers had some notable events but the girls placed fifth with 59.75 team points won by Milbank with 88 points topping Deubrook Area's 86. The Richland Church will be honoring the graduates from several area high schools during their morning worship service this Sunday, April 30. This year, six high school graduates will be honored.
